NaNo peeps, I need some suggestions.

crazywriterlady:

My main character Holly and her best friend Anya are starting their junior year art class. Their teacher is going to give them each a simple theme, like “tree”, to incorporate into their art for the year.

I’m having trouble deciding on the themes to give them. If you have any ideas, give me a holler.

Well, if they are anywhere near opposites, I would say suns and moons.

Or you could go with elements - or something a little more abstract, like magic/music/comfort.

Also now I really want to do this with my own art!

“When you say “no,” and you mean “no,” and the other person, regardless of whether it’s in a situation where somebody wants to attack you or a situation where somebody wants to change your opinion…
When you say no, and the other person continues, you should think immediately — not “how do I make it nice, how do I make it better” — but immediately think why is this person trying to control me because “no” is a complete sentence.”

Oh Em Gee. I needed this today!

Wisdom.

Never apologize for feeling what you feel! “No” requires no explanation, addendum or justification. Oprah, FTW
